I can help organisations flourish by providing a dynamic response to your business needs. This unique practice area enables companies to receive a dedicated and bespoke legal support. I can work from our clients’ offices on certain pre-determined days and be available to assist on an ad hoc basis during the rest of the time. I get to know my clients’ businesses very well and provide the consistent and consultative support that a growing business need.

My business activity involves handling general corporate matters, such as the incorporation of companies, directors’ and shareholders’ rights, drafting sole director documents, partnerships, corporate statement and policies, drafting articles of association and assisting in board meetings in privately-held companies, small and medium scale businesses. Drafting business documents such as appointment of directors, directors’ registers, directors’ interest, board minutes, shareholders’ resolutions, service contracts, removal of directors, business sale agreements, company name change, appoint company secretary, company secretary duties, advising on director duties, company secretary duties, charity constitution. I have direct experience of working in the corporate environment, I understand the issues and pressures.

In the role of the Non-Executive Director (NED) I provide a creative contribution to the board by providing independent oversight and constructive challenge to the executive directors. I am appointed to the board to bring:

  • independence
  • impartiality
  • wide experience
  • special knowledge
  • personal qualities

As ‘an outsider’, I have a clearer or wider view of external factors affecting the company and its business environment than the executive directors. My normal role in strategy formation is therefore to provide a creative and informed contribution and to act as a constructive critic in looking at the objectives and plans devised by the chief executive and the executive team.
